Welcome to Carcroft News. These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and the purchase of goods from our store. By accessing this website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Age Restrictions (Challenge 25)

Carcroft News operates a strict Challenge 25 policy.

  • Alcohol & Tobacco: You must be 18 or older to purchase alcohol or tobacco products.
  • Lottery & Scratchcards: You must be 18 or older to purchase National Lottery products.
  • Energy Drinks: We may restrict the sale of high-caffeine energy drinks to under-16s.

If you appear to be under 25, you will be asked for valid photo identification (Passport, Driving Licence, or PASS card). Failure to produce ID will result in the sale being refused.

2. Products and Pricing

  • Availability: All goods are subject to availability. We reserve the right to withdraw products at any time.
  • Pricing: Prices are displayed in Pounds Sterling (£) and include VAT where applicable. We make every effort to ensure prices on our website are correct, but errors may occur. We reserve the right to correct prices at any time.
  • Product Images: Images are for illustrative purposes only. Actual packaging may vary.

3. Click & Collect (Phone Orders)

We offer a collection service for phone orders.

  • Please call 01302 274088 to place your order.
  • Payment is taken upon collection in-store.
  • For age-restricted items, the person collecting the order must be 18+ and provide valid ID if challenged.
  • Orders not collected within 24 hours may be returned to stock.

4. Returns and Refunds

Our returns policy is in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • Non-Perishable Items: You may return faulty or unwanted non-perishable items within 30 days of purchase with a receipt. Items must be unused and in original packaging.
  • Perishable Goods: For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on perishable goods (e.g., fresh food, newspapers) unless they are faulty or not as described.
  • Faulty Goods: If an item is faulty, please return it to the store for a full refund or exchange.

5. Post Office Services

Post Office services provided in-store are subject to the terms and conditions of Post Office Ltd. Please ask a member of staff for details on specific postal service limitations or restrictions.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Carcroft News will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the use of this website or the purchase of goods.
